The Women Cell of Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, organised a special programme titled “Give to Gain” as part of International Women’s Day celebrations on Sunday (March 8, 2026).
Gynaecologist and obstetrician D. Santhi Priya spoke about the importance of women’s health and well-being and shared health tips and safety precautions, creating awareness among students. Regular health care, balanced lifestyle, and preventive measures are important for women, she said.
Psychologist from Vasavya Mahila Mandali P. Rama Devi emphasised that girls should develop clarity of thought, confidence, communicative spirit, and focus on a strong career to succeed in life.
Around 900 girl students participated in the awareness session. Vice Principal (I UG) B. Sivakumari, Women Cell coordinator Tabitha, Dean of Student Activities L. Subha and other senior faculty members participated in the programme.
