Bronze statue of Kangayam Bull inaugurated in fulfilment of long-felt public demand

The long-awaited bronze statue of Kangayam Bull was unveiled on Saturday on the premises of Kangayam Panchayat Union Office in the town on Saturday.

The initiative for installation of the statue of the iconic Kangayam Bull, regarded by people as traditional symbol of valour, was carried out under the Namakku Naame scheme.

Citing the demands of the public in Tiruppur district, the Department of Information and Publicity had forwarded a formal request to the Public Works Department in 2021 for sanction of order for installation of the statue.
