A large number of cadre of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi and a group of Muslim organisations, who had joined together to protest in front of the U.S. Consulate on Anna Salai, were stopped en route on Sunday.
The outfits were planning the protest to condemn the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in an air strike by Israeli-U.S. forces on Sunday.
