Diagnostic lab offers free anaemia and thyroid testing to mark International Women’s Day

To mark International Women’s Day, Aarthi Scans & Labs will hold a month-long city-wide free anaemia and thyroid testing at all its branches in March. The initiative will run from March 1 to March 31. The campaign comes against the backdrop of growing concern around thyroid disorders and anaemia among Indian women. Approximately 42 million people in India suffer from thyroid disorders, with women significantly more affected than men. As part of the campaign, women can avail free anaemia and thyroid tests, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. No prior appointment is required, and expert guidance will be available at all Chennai Centres. Speaking on the campaign, Aarthi Govindarajan, chief radiologist and executive director at Aarthi Scans & Labs, said, “Thyroid disorders and anaemia frequently go undetected in women because their symptoms are often dismissed as lifestyle-related. Through this Chennai-wide screening drive, our goal is to encourage early testing, timely diagnosis, and greater awareness so women can take charge of their health with confidence.”
