Honestly, the main reason I wanted to watch Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira was that it’s directed by Althaf Saleem, the guy who made Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela, one of the most rewatchable films in recent times. And when I heard Fahadh Faasil was leading this one, my excitement went through the roof. But, man, I think I built my expectations way too high!

Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira (OKCK) turned out to be one of the most disappointing movies I’ve seen this year—yes, even more than Mohanlal’s Empuraan or Rajinikanth’s Coolie. To make it worse, it gave me major déjà vu vibes of Painkili (starring Sajin Gopu and Anaswara Rajan). Not because the stories are similar, but because the directors’ attempts at over-the-top, exaggerated comedy totally backfired.
If you’re a Fahadh fan, brace yourself—you might end up a bit disappointed.
