R.K. Nagar Police arrested a man for allegedly threatening a witness preventing him from deposing in a pending court case.
Police said V. Karthik, 29, of Karunanidhi Nagar, Tondiarpet, is a witness in a case registered at R.K. Nagar Police Station in 2021. Recently, he received a phone call from a person who identified himself as Karthik and allegedly threatened him not to give evidence in court against his friend involved in the case. Due to the intimidation, the complainant reportedly avoided attending court proceedings.
