Q Branch police here on Sunday seized drugs worth approximately ₹30 crore that were brought in a car to be smuggled from Ramanathapuram to Sri Lanka. They also arrested two men in connection with the smuggling.
Following an intelligence input on the smuggling, Ramanathapuram Q Branch police conducted a vehicle search on Sunday morning near the Karikuttam bus stand in Ramanathapuram, in coordination with the Narcotics Intelligence Bureau police.
At that time, they stopped and inspected a suspicious car that was heading towards Mandapam.
