Members of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Engineers Association began an overnight sit-in protest on Friday, demanding the reinstatement of periodic salary increments for Class I and II engineers.
According to protesters, while a four-year periodic hike remained standard for other employees, a recent government notification specifically excluded senior engineers.
